Soil Mapper

Overview

This document describes the Soil Mapper extension for ArcView. This tool facilitates the importing and standard mapping of detailed soil survey data. The extension adds three functions to the ArcView user interface:

• an "Import e00 files" item in the Project File menu and the View File menu
• a new button in the View document which applies appropriate legends to the soil, hydro, and civil themes.
• a new button in the View document which loads the PAT, CMP, LAYER, NAME, and MAPUNIT tables for the active Soil themes.
